MOVIE: The Girl and Death

MOVIE: The Girl and Death

I have to admit that Jos Stelling is one of my favourite movie directors, therefore my opinion on the movie is biased.

Let's recall his filmography:

- The Illusionist (1983)
- The Pointsman (1986)
- The Flying Dutchman (1995)
- No Trains No Planes (1999)
- Duska (2007)
- The Girl and Death (2012)

My preferences (descending):

- Duska (2007)
- No Trains No Planes (1999)
- The Switchman (1986)
- The Girl and Death (2012)
- The Illusionist (1983)
- The Flying Dutchman (1995)

On average a movie every 5 years. He is not in a rush ))

By unknown reasons Jos became interested in Russian/Ukrainian culture recently. Started with Duska he continues to obey his obsession in this movie as well.

Plot: A Russian guy travels from Russia to France for medical school. He makes a stop in Germany on his way. While staying in a hotel, ran by a cheerful guy who likes to have hookers next to him, he falls in love with one of the hookers. Then she dies.

The movie touches upon an eternal fight between Love and Money. Money wins this time.

You've Got To Watch It!
